Message from Founder
My name is Rev.Ann Skinner and I hope that you enjoy Hannah House web site. I started on this journey many years ago and there has never been a dull moment since.
Who said life wasn't exciting?
Hannah House began in 2002 a program of Lighthouse International Ministries. I had taken a little baby age 7 months into my home as her mother was going to jail. Her mother got one year and I had promised her that I would take care of her child for her. That first year I got so many people who wanted to help and they kept donating items to help with this baby. I found myself with just no room left in my apartment and decided to put out a flyer asking if anyone needed clothing diapers and baby items. That is how Hannah House began. Now you can see we have expanded in many directions. Our main goal is to help the children with their needs.
A Prayer for Light
O Holy Spirit of God, take me as Thy disciple; guide me, illuminate me, sanctify me. Bind my hands, that they may do no evil; cover my eyes that they may see it no more; sanctify my heart, that evil may not dwell within me. Be Thou my God; be Thou my guide. Whithersoever Thou leadest me, I will go; whatsoever Thou forbiddest me, I will renounce; and whatsoever Thou commandest me, in Thy strength I will do. Lead me, then, unto the fullness of Thy truth.
